Basic RiderCourse

The Basic RiderCourse (BRC) was designed by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation and is the ideal place to begin now that you’ve decided that you want to learn how to ride! The BRC is a 14-hour course (4 hours of classroom instruction and 10 hours of on-bike training) that is completed in 2-3 days. While intended for beginning riders, it is also a great refresher for those who want to strengthen their skills.

IF YOU HAVE AN ILLINOIS DRIVER'S LICENSE, YOU MUST OBTAIN A MOTORCYCLE PERMIT FROM THE ILLINOIS SECRETARY OF STATE AND BRING IT WITH YOU TO CLASS EACH DAY!  VISIT OUR PERMITS PAGE TO LEARN MORE.
